Mukti Kshetra - Muktinath

Muktinath, nestled amidst the majestic Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, is more than just a pilgrimage site. It's an explorer's paradise, offering a captivating blend of spiritual significance, breathtaking landscapes, and unique cultural experiences. It is one of the sacred places for both Hindu and Buddhist devotees and lies at an altitude of 3,710 metres at the base of Thorong La Pass, commonly known as “Mukti Kshetra '' or “Place of Salvation”. It is also one of the 108 Divya Desam, or divine places of worship of Lord Vishnu. It's a place where spirituality mingles with breathtaking landscapes, offering a unique exploration opportunity.

The centrepiece of your exploration will be the revered Muktinath Temple, recognised as both a Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage site. This temple is also known as Chumig Gyatsa in its local name, which means hundred waters in Tibetan. Witness the awe-inspiring golden statue of Lord Vishnu and seek blessings at the various shrines.
