Day 01: Kathmandu Arrival

You will arrive in Kathmandu on this day. We haven’t included any activities on this day as it will be harder to arrange on the very first day because of the time. Day 03: Fly from Nepalgunj to Simikot (2910 m)

In the early hours, you will drive to Nepalgunj Airport from your hotel. A flight from Nepalgunj will take you to Simikot in Humla. Simikot (2910m) is the district Headquarter of Humla, a mountain district of Nepal. It is also a gateway to the Kailash tour by Helicopter. You will spend the rest of the day there to acclimatize; and if you will have a little more time, you will do a short trek around Simikot. Day 04: Simikot – Hilsa – Taklakot

After breakfast, we will walk to Simikot airport and take a helicopter to Hilsa. It takes 20 minutes to reach Hilsa. You will see the scenic view of green hills and snow-capped mountains along with the deep river gorge of River Karnali from the helicopter. After a 30-minute walk from Hilsa, we will reach the immigration office and we will get the pass to enter Tibet. Our vehicle will be waiting for us on the Tibet side. After a 45 minutes drive, we will arrive at Taklakot/Purang (4025 m). Overnight stay at Hotel in Taklakot.

Day 05: At Taklakot – Rest Day Full Day – Free for acclimatization.

You will explore Taklakot. This daybreak will prepare you for a further journey. As the altitude keeps ascending significantly, it becomes necessary to acclimatize.

Day 06: Drive from Taklakot to Lake Mansarovar (4550 m)

After breakfast, we drove to the holy and beautiful lake Mansarovar (4550m). It is 88 km from Taklakot to Mansarovar which will take 1.5 hours. Rakshas Tal is another lake on the way to Mansarovar; we stop there for a few minutes to catch the amazing beauty of the lake. Then we continued to drive to Mansarovar. When we arrive at Mansarovar, we will take a rest with lunch at the guest house; and we will be ready for Mansarovar Kora with the vehicle. It is the most auspicious day for us as we will see the first glimpse of the holy Kailash and sacred Lake Mansarovar. We will take a holy bath on the bank of Mansarovar. Overnight stay at the Guesthouse in Mansarovar.

Day 07: Drive to Yama Dwara Trek to Deruphuk (4909 m) – 12 Km

Trek after breakfast drive towards Yama Dwate via Darchen. Yamadwar (Tarboche) is the starting point of Kailash Parikrama. Tarboche is also well known as an outer “Asthapath”. It is also one of the most exciting days walking along the beautiful rocky cliffs; waterfalls with some clouds in the clear blue sky which makes you feel that the Great God Shiva is everywhere with tons of blessings to you. We see Ganesh Parwat on its side. From time to time the north face of Kailash Parbat will keep on appearing. Overnight at the Guesthouse. If you are not doing Parikrama, then you will be waiting at Darchen till the Group returns from Parikrama; we will arrange accommodation and meals.

Day 08: Trek to Zuthulphuk (4820 m) 4760 m) (22 km )

After breakfast, we trek to the East face of Kuberknuda Pass (5,700 m) and then descend gradually to Zuthulphuk (4760m). Yamasthal should be crossed to reach the Shiva-sthal while your steps go towards the Kuberkunda pass with climbing ropes and other equipment. Once we reach the top we see many spectacular views of the east face of Mt. Kailash and the origin of the Uma River which is not possible from other spots. From the top, we also can catch a close view of Nandi Hill, Asthapath, and more. Then we will descend towards Zuthulphuk. By late afternoon we will arrive in Zuthulphuk- the cave of Miracles, the great ascetic Milerappa is supposed to have performed miracles here. Overnight at Guesthouse, Breakfast, Packed Lunch; Dinner at Guest House.

Day 09: Zuthulphuk to Hilsa or Simikot ( 8 Km Trek)

After an early breakfast, we will walk 3 hours to catch our vehicle to the Nepal border. Our staff will prepare lunch in Darchen (on the way to Hilsa). After lunch, we will continue to drive to the Nepal border. We will make immigration procedures to exit Tibet and do a short walk to Hilsa on the Nepal side. Dinner & Overnight at the guest house in Hilsa or Simikot. In Hilsa very normal Basic accommodation is available so we will try to reach Simikot if Time and weather allow.

Day 10: Hilsa to Simikot, fly to Nepalgunj and fly back to Kathmandu

If you stayed in Hilsa then Early in the morning, fly by Heli to Simikot. We will catch another flight to Nepalgunj. Drive to the hotel at Nepalgunj, have lunch, and take a rest for a while, in the evening 4:PM drive to the airport, and fly to Kathmandu. Dinner & overnight at Kathmandu.
