Kathmandu City

Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal, is a feast for the senses for any tourist. From its ancient temples and bustling markets to its stunning Himalayan backdrop as the weather becomes clear, the city offers a unique blend of culture, history, and nature. The ancient Durbar Squares like Patan Durbar Square, temples such as Jal Narayan Temple, and other different monuments showcase the stunning architectural marvel of Kathmandu. In fact, Kathmandu is the arrival city if you are travelling by flight. The local energy provided by nearby bazzars such as Thamel is something one wouldn’t expect. As you wander through the narrow alleys lined up with shops selling handicrafts, souvenirs, and handicrafts, the chaoticness comes with the authenticity of the city. Besides the sightseeing, the taste of the city can’t be missed, which offers food with various local species, such as Momo and Newari Cuisine and satisfies any continental desires as well.

Pokhara City

Pokhara is a popular tourist destination, known for its natural beauty and its proximity to the Annapurna region. This city depicts a unique Himalayan aura that is indifferent to the other places in Nepal. The spectacular Fishtail Mountain and Annapurna Himalayan Range are seen from most of the places in Pokhara, which are stunningly beautiful. The city is the base for many trekking regions and home to a number of outdoor activities. Adventure activities such as Paragliding, Bungee Jumping, Boating, Mountain Biking, Zip Liner, and some other activities in the Pokhara valley have shaped the city as the adventure hub of Nepal. Pokhara is also one of the cultural cities, with a number of religious temples such as Bindhyabasini Temple, Taal Barahi Temple, and Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave

Chitwan National Park

Chitwan National Park, nestled in the Terai lowlands of south central Nepal, offers a captivating glimpse into the wonders of nature, alive with diverse wildlife and unique cultural experiences. With over 68 species of mammals and 544 species of birds, the park is a paradise for wildlife enthusiasts. It shelters iconic species like the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger, the endangered One Horned Rhinoceros, and two crocodile species. This park boasts the UNESCO enlisted conservation area of Nepal, which has been popular for decades. The jungle safari, canoe ride, visiting the Elephant Breeding Centre, and some other activities in Chitwan are truly mind blowing and offer a unique experience. The most interesting part to explore in Chitwan is the undiluted lifestyle of indigenous Tharus.

Muktinath Temple

The sacred Muktinath temple is one of the world’s highest altitude temples, at an elevation of 3710 metres at the foot of Thorong La Mountain Pass in Mustang. It is a sacred pilgrimage site for both Hindus and Buddhists. For Hindus, it is one of the 108 Divya Desams, while for Buddhists, it is believed to be one of the 24 Tantric places. The main shrine is a pagoda-shaped temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Behind the temple are 108 water sprouts, which are believed to take away sins if one can take a bath passing through all these sprouts and take a holy dip in two ponds in front of the temple. Apart from the religious attraction, one can enjoy the astonishing landscape and thin mountain air of the valley, which is surrounded by mountains.

Lumbini and Janakpur Day Visit

Among Nepal’s many treasures, Lumbini and Janakpur stand as sacred sanctuaries, each offering different religious prospects. You will take day flights to two of the most sacred religious sites in Nepal; Janakpur, the birthplace of Goddess Sita, and Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, on the 9th and 10th days of your itinerary, respectively.

Janakpur, also known as Janakpurdham, is a city in the Madhesh province of Nepal. It is the place where the mythological union of Goddess Sita and the omnipotent cosmic being Lord Ram occurred in the Ramayana, which is considered a major cultural and religious centre for Hindus. It is home to numerous temples, including the Janaki Temple, dedicated to the Hindu goddess Sita. Apart from the main temple, Janakpur also houses other temples such as Ram Mandir, Vivah Mandap, and Dhanush Sagar. Moreover, it is also an important pilgrimage site for Jains. Along with the religious exploration, Janakpur also features some delicious food influenced by both Nepali and Indian cuisine.

Lumbini, the birthplace of Gautam Buddha, is a sacred pilgrimage site that holds immense significance for Buddhists worldwide. This site offers a glimpse into the origin of this influential Buddhist religion and a chance to soak up its peaceful atmosphere. The key attractions surrounding Lumbini are the Maya Devi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, Bodhi Tree, and several other monasteries. Each monastery here offers unique prayer services, meditation sessions, and opportunities to learn about different Buddhist practices or schools of thought.

While Lumbini and Janakpur cater to different religious faiths, they both offer enriching experiences for anyone seeking spiritual solace or cultural immersion. Combining these two destinations in your tour allows you to appreciate the diverse religious landscape of Nepal and gain a deeper understanding of its rich cultural heritage.

Overall, as mentioned, this 11 Days Nepal Tour hits all the highlights of Nepal, including Kathmandu’s history, Pokhara's beauty, Janakpur’s religious significance, Chitwan’s wildlife, Lumbini’s Buddhist roots, and Muktinath’s pilgrimage sites. If you want to experience the authenticity of Nepal that perfectly blends with your pilgrimage, adventure, and cultural interests, this Nepal tour package is the most suitable plan.
